Mainland Regional Schools Closed for Two Weeks Due to COVID-19

In March 2020, Mainland Regional High School, along with the Linwood, Northfield, and Somers Point school districts, announced a joint closure of all schools for two weeks to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. This decision was made in consultation with the New Jersey Department of Health and local health authorities. During this period, the districts implemented remote learning plans to continue educational activities and provided resources to support students and families.

The closure was part of a broader effort by educational institutions across the state to protect the health and safety of students, staff, and the community. As the situation evolved, many schools, including those in the Mainland Regional District, adapted their approaches to education, incorporating virtual learning platforms and other measures to ensure continuity of education while adhering to public health guidelines.
